What a blast from the past! An effective trailer, too: a vocabulary list instead of a plot summary.
What woman hasn't made faces at herself in the mirror, and what man hasn't rubbed his lips with his thumbnail, after seeing this movie?

Does this mean that you recommend Breathless? One of our requirements for choosing a foreign film is that it is sexy. Do you think Breathless qualifies?

Great criterion! I think so but with Godard sexiness always has a lethal and cynical edge. There are long scenes of cute young things lounging around in bedrooms in various states of déshabillement.

Thank you for your candor, is it ok if I send your response to Ken so that it helps him decide whether or not to buy the movie? My initial feeling is one of reticence for a director who gives sexiness a lethal and cynical edge. Although I liked Masculine Feminine and Pierre le fou so I don't know.
