[this is good]
I had the album in my hands about 10 minutes ago, just burning some cd's from old vinyl in an effort to preserve my collection digitally - it's a fine album renee, well worth the money...
Is the name of the album Rose Rouge?--if so I will definitely look for it.
The album is a called Tourist and it's on the Blue Note label - ref 5251141
Thanks, Karlos. I think I'm going to look for it on Amazon. PS. I think Love is fine thing to dedicate your life to, very fine indeed.
you are welcome and if you like that style I am about to load up some similar stuff to vox - tracks from the mojo club compilations and gurus jazzmatazz
p.s. check out a:xus - soundtrack to life on funks page dafunk101.vox.com
You'd like this album: it's very much like Moby's "Play" but more lounge-jazz and good for warm-up stretches before dancing. During my junior year studying abroad, one of the American boys brought Moby and St Germain to our francophile red-wine parties while I brought Lush and the Rolling Stones. This song feels like dressing in drag as a worldly sophisticate at age 19. How potent is the naïveté of youth!
I just read this response to Ken and he was quite amused by your description!
