You know, I tried to find a drawing of Alice that was more colorful, but one was not to be found. I still like this one even if it is a tad on the dark side.
Rackham does draw on a drab palette, doesn't he; sometimes a rosy cheek sets off the whole image. Isn't he great, though? His fanciful, tentacular fixations are a little more appealing these days than Horace H. Rackham's authority (on the Michigan campus), if you know what I mean.
