Mr May sure knows how to use a mixer and not just the cross-fader. The EQ channels come into play as well. His recordings are deep, funky and well worth the import tax. f.c

[smile] you're welcome renee, i shall send you the full-release versions soon as well. As for mixing on the 1210's : a sensual-sophisti-cat called Carl Cox taught me all i needed to know in an hour and since then it's been a breeze...... enjoy the sonic activity....

At a guess, May is using a Vestax Mixer, cutting the bass out on the deck left channel and then ramping up the high band frequency by damping out the bass and mid range frequencies using a sliding gradient filtered band pass....nice trick
